As an important announcement, ACD’s Executive Director, Darlene Crane, will be stepping down from her position next month. For the last six years, Darlene has dedicated herself to the mission of access to capital for companies with diverse leadership. She has spearheaded the PROPEL Small Business Growth Program to increase the cash flow of small businesses and led the annual BACC conferences to bring funding opportunities to start-up entrepreneurs. Darlene is updating her consulting firm to focus on growth and product development. She can be reached at dcrane@pcicraneconsulting.
Taking over for Darlene is Sami Nerenberg. For the last five years, Sami has served as the Associate Director of Design for America, a national network of college students using human centered design for local and social good. She has a background in Organizational Change from Northwestern University and Industrial Design from RISD. She brings deep knowledge in the innovation process, education, and community based problem-solving. We are incredibly thrilled to bring on Sami and look forward to the growth of Alliance’s impact under her direction. Sami can be reached at her email address here:firstname.lastname@example.org.
With these changes, our annual BACC conference originally planned for October will now be held in early 2016. Stay tuned for more exciting updates to come!
