The Alliance serves underrepresented entrepreneurs inclusive of women, people of color, veterans and those within the LGBTQ community so that all my thrive in the Bay Area economy. As part of this we believe that design is an important asset to any business therefore we are offering a series of design workshops for those looking to learn the basics of Adobe’s Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, & InDesign.
We’ve teamed up with Galvanize to host these workshops in San Francisco.
Photoshop 101– April 28, 6:30-8:30pm. Learn how to edit photos and combine images to convey your idea.
Illustrator 101– May 10, 6:30-8:30pm. Make simple graphics and logos to communicate your brand.
InDesign 101– May 31, 6:30-8:30pm. Create an awesome one-pager or sales brochure for your next meeting.
Our workshops are a fraction of the cost of other workshops on similar topics ($20 each), but we are happy to offer scholarships to anyone who might need one. Please just contact: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Meet Your Instructor:
Sami Nerenberg has been teaching design in higher education for the last eight years at Northwestern University, Pratt, and the Rhode Island School of Design. She is currently the executive director of the Alliance for Community Development and is the previous associate director of Design for America. Sami believes that as humans we surround ourselves with designed objects, spaces and experiences that reflect our past, present, or aspirations for the future. Her dream would be for all services to be as simple, beautiful, and intuitive as possible.
