On Saturday, December 2nd, the ALLIANCE is bringing together diverse, Bay Area entrepreneurs and key stakeholders in the entrepreneurship ecosystem to plan for and develop strategies for “A Vibrant Economy for All.” We invite all stakeholders in the this space to share their stories of challenge and resilience, to receive and give hands-on guidance, and to connect with a powerful network of Bay Area resources (fellow entrepreneurs, business service providers, mentors, capital providers, and government representatives).
We’ll address shared challenges and establish shared goals, engaging in two collaborative breakout sessions:
(1) Microcosm Session – Centered around supporting individual entrepreneurs in small groups, working across silos and stakeholder groups. Each curated microcosm will tap into their entrepreneurship support network, and work as a team to develop six-month plans for forward progress.
(2) Stakeholder Session – Centered around internal coordination within each stakeholder group: time for entrepreneurs to connect with fellow entrepreneurs, service providers with fellow service providers, mentors with fellow mentors, capital providers with fellow capital providers, and government representatives with fellow government representatives. Each stakeholder group will engage in a facilitated discussion, establishing coordination strategies, communication channels, six-month goals, and next steps.
Together, we will develop a six-month plan of action and re-convene in June of 2018 for our 10th Annual Bay Area Capital Connections convening.
After co-sponsoring the Bay Area Equity Fund in 2001, which raised $75M and invested in companies such as Tesla, Pandora, and Solar City to create jobs in Bay Area communities, the ALLIANCE annually hosts the Bay Area Capital Connections Conference to celebrate the brightest and most diverse entrepreneurs in the Bay Area and thought leaders in the field.
